wow
Oh, my gosh. This song is awesome. I have no suggestions for it. It's great. Great job.

Thank you.
always loved it
It seems I have already reviewed "Insanity Inside." I wrote a big, long review for it and then "ERROR"
I've always loved this song, MaestroSorrow. The melody is excellent, and for a song about an angel, so dark.
That really fast, rising horn thing (such descriptiveness!) used for some transitions sounds very good.
And also that triangle-sounding thing sounds good.
The drums playing and the *CRASH* *CRASH* of the cymbals (sp?) sound excellent with the piano.
And then the song is very quiet and sad. The entire thing tells an excellent story. It's almost like I was watching a movie. With a very sad ending.
Great job, MaestroSorrow. 5/5
Rocky
I am glad you enjoyed it Rocky, there was a ton of experimental techniques and theories that went into this. I'm just happy most of them worked out ^^.
Thanks for the review.
cool feel
Wow, this song has a very cool Arabian feel.
Those drums fit in well. This song makes me want to dance.
I don't have suggestions for this song, but I forgot to say in my review for "Real Piano Theme" that I think the song would benefit from a violin or something playing the theme with the piano. Just a thought.
Good job. Rocky.
Hey Rocky,
Cheers for the idea of the violin in 'Real Piano Theme', i'll have to try that one out.
James
the real one
Let us see the differences...
Same beautiful piano melody. Ha, I like that arpeggio chord near the beginning. 'Twas awesome. The flute and oboe really compliment the piano and the melody.
What a great feeling this song has. So sad...
I can safely say this is your best song so far (I haven't heard "Arabian Underground" yet). Great job. Keep it up.
Rocky
More songs!
Now I shall review more of your songs.
Of course I like this song immediately because I love the way a piano sounds (even a fake one. but this one sounds very good).
Anyway...hold on...am I listening to wrong one..."Piano theme"..."Real Piano Theme"...hmm...oh, well.
You said somewhere that I was very generous with my 10's. I think I told you that I give songs 10's unless they either genuinely suck or need a lot of improvement.
This melody was beautiful, man. Very sad song. I shall now review the improved one.
Always great stuff from you
Reviewing as I listen...
I love the strings. That was my first thought. My second thought was I love the melody.
The drums fit in very well with the rest of the song.
I feel the song should be longer, but I suppose you are already planning to do that :)
Greta job, MaestroSorrow. You get a 5/5.
Check out [Shadow Waltz Remix]
I was thinking of a longer, much extended version, and then I suppose I will have this one deleted... thanks, I am now seriously considering doing just that.
Thanks for the review Musical_Rocky, and I did check out Shadow Waltz Remix, quite nice ^^.
wow
This is the most original thing I've heard in a while (including my own work). I love the tone. I also love the main melody. When the violin comes in and plays, that was cool. The wind instrument is the main influence on the overall tone, flow, and story of the song. I thought it was wonderful. I don't know what it is though (flute, piccolo, etc.).
I have no suggestions. Keep working hard.
Rocky
(flute, piccolo, etc.):
It's all a mish-mash of various VSTi's,
The beginning is mostly Reaktor 5 "SteamPipe" and the "real" strings are from the Reason orchester soundbank.
Anyways - 8 or 10 instances of Reaktor 5 - Reason 3 rewired - all sequenced in AcidPro.
over the next few weeks/months I'll be attempting to submit to each genre on NG - keep an eye out for them.
Thanks for the review!
the piano part
The voices sound cool. So do the strings. The beat is good. This song does remind me of war, kind of, not that I've been in a war.
When that piano came in, it was awesome. It was cool how the song faded out.
I hate giving people below a 5 if I have no suggestions, so I'm giving you a 5.
Good job. Keep it up.
I always tend to go over the top with piano things! I guess i'm just really fond of the whole piano sound.
I'm always sceptical of the whole choir thing as it always sounds so fake and glamerous which I really dislike. Nevermind,
Thanks again, James
Incredible
Man, you just humble us all, don't you? Your stuff is incredibly amazing.
I've listened to this song so many times. It has a wonderful tone. If this isn't a real orchestra, it's some really good sounds.
It must be very time consuming, this project.
Anyway, I can't even think of anything worth saying about this song. Great achievement. You should post some of your other songs like "Above." Just a thought.

Real orchestra
I love the sound of a real orchestra! Haha, I'm the first to review! Mwahaha!
Anyway. I'm still listening...I like the plaintive string at the beginning. And then that jolly tune, or something. That's nice. I'm very appreciative of classical music like this.
The song really creates a mood. This sounds incredibly professional. It actually sounds like a cross between a symphonic movement and some kind of orchestral film song. It's very cool.
I just can't stop listening to this song lol.
The use of strings is very good.
I don't know much about sonata form. Or sonatas either. But cool sonata.
Dude, I wish I could get an orchestra to play my songs! That would freaking rock! Actually, I haven't made any orchestral songs...but back to your song...
Still listening...The ending is very good. Liked it a lot.
I feel there should have been a moment in the song where there was a burst of energy, where the strings go insane. But maybe you wanted it calm and stuff. I don't know. Maybe you can work on something like that in the next movement.
Well, there, a review. Check out my work sometime!
Rocky
Thanks rocky for the feedback. I agree I should have had a longer climax to the piece. I wrote this very quickly over the course of about 3 days as I was trying to meet the deadline for the orchesta competition. I was lucky to win the competition and get this recorded performance. I have a better quality version on http://www.myspace.com/davidmielochcomposer
Hey guys, sorry I've been inactive recently. I'm working currently on two songs. So hopefully expect some submissions soon! Also, the best way to contact me is at my email: marshall.rocky@gmail .com If you PM me here, I may not read it for a while!
